After fixing some incorrect wiring problems with the subwoofer, it was good to go. I've hooked it up to a new [ASIN:B004M8SCJM Panasonic VIERA TC-P50S30 50-Inch 1080p Plasma HDTV] that I also bought from Amazon, for 799. My existing speakers are a pair of Vienna Acoustics Bachs, with a Vienna Acoustics Theatro center speaker and an REL Q150E subwoofer.Sound and picture are both fantastic.I would have given the Denon S-5BD five stars, but the Time Warner cable guy was unable to synch up the cable remote with the Denon. This is the third Denon receiver that I've owned that the cable company/satellite TV company has been unable to synch up to their remotes. So I have to use all three remotes (cable, TV and Denon) to operate the system, instead of just one or even two.The Denon S-5BD works great in the space I have and we'll be watching a lot more movies this year."
